The Kisses Co. – Getting Well and Building a Legacy

The Kisses Co. – Getting Well and Building a Legacy

I post about my ItWorks business off and on; what the products can do for you and what the business can do for you. But, you might be wondering how I know that these products are so great? What have these products, and this business have done for me? Well, I know because I use them, of course! I use the products, and I work the business, so I see every day what makes ItWorks awesome. Here’s a little of my story.
Immediately after I saw the picture of myself on the left (in my first me-made handmade outfit, I might add!), I felt terrible. Insecure. Embarrassed. I had known I’d put on weight, having 4 kiddos in 5 1/2 years will do that to you… But I don’t think I realized really how much weight until I saw it in the pictures. …Or how much it was effecting me emotionally.

I’m a take-action kinda gal, so I did. I saw my friend Ashley posting online about her ItWorks business and the products. I’d heard of the wraps before, but I was feeling a lot like I needed more than a wrap. I needed a dang whole-body cocoon! I hated how I felt, and I wanted change. I’d seen her post about other products in addition to the wraps, and so I decided to inquire. She set me up with the Skinny Pack, and I’ll be honest… I didn’t really use it consistently. In fact, I’m just now finishing off my last bottle of Defining Gel (I accumulated like 8…lol) that I ended up hoarding from her! Ha! Shhhhhh. 😉 But, I did eventually get into it. And then I saw her post about the Greens (I’ve posted my story before about how taking the Greens daily rid me of my acid reflux, so I won’t post that again here. But if you want to read it, I’ll happily send it over!) and I had to have them! That was what really pushed me in to more products. Soon, I was seeing myself slim down, and I was FEELING so much better — healthier, better skin, happier in general. Who knew!? This stuff actually works!

Then, out of the blue, Ashley messaged me March 2015 and asked if I’d ever thought about trying the business side of ItWorks. I think I kinda laughed at her. We were Facebook friends after all… She saw that I had 4 little kids, a hubby who worked and traveled for work a lot, and a crazy busy handmade business I was running, right!? How could I possibly fit in another business? But, the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to know what it would be like to NOT have to work my fingers to the bone. I could share products I already knew I loved, and get paid for it? And maybe in return, I could ease up on my handmade business a bit. Just enough so that when my kids ask if I want to go to the park I can say, “YES!” instead of saying, “Mama’s working, but maybe later if I have time…” But, still bring in some extra income for my 6-person family… Could this opportunity do that for me?  I started watching success stories on YouTube about people just like me who had joined the business for one reason for another, and the more I watch, the more I realized… I was in.  All in.
So, as I mentioned… I’m a take-action kinda gal. I talked to Tony, and while he wasn’t nearly as excited about it as I was, he was on board with me trying it out. I harassed Ashley on a Sunday to get me signed up, and the rest…is history!

I work my business [mostly] from my phone and my Surface, at home or on the go. I work a little each day, around our schedule. I take my kids to the park when they want to go. We do playdates, we do karate and gymnastics classes, we do special days out. I have that freedom of time now. I can still help bring in some extra for my family, but definitely don’t have to be tethered to my sewing machines 24/7 (although, I still sew when I wanna… ;)). And that alone has been worth it. But even if we set that part aside, the personal growth I’ve felt in the last year with this business has done so much for me. I see that I can be more, and do more with my life. I can be a really fantastic mom, but also a really successful business woman AND I can balance both! I can dream bigger than I ever thought! And one last perk? The friendships. The friendships and relationships all around that I’ve gained through this business are worth their weight in gold. Both relationships with teammates and with customers. I’ve reconnected with so many people from different points in my past, and am helping them to feel amazing, and dream bigger, too!

So, is my body perfect? No. But I’m working toward being well. Am I rich? No. Not yet. 😉 But, again, I’m working toward building a lasting legacy for my family. I will to teach our kids to dream as big and bigger than I do. I’m here to stay, and one day, I’ll be walking across the stage at conference knowing that I’ve helped change soooo many lives and helped inspire sooooo many people, and will continue to shape lives for years to come.

Do you long for any of the things I’ve talked about? Do you want to be well? Do you want to have the freedom of time and finances? Do you wish for meaningful relationships and friendships? If even one of those things calls to you, then we should talk. We can message, or chat on the phone, text or meet for coffee. There’s no pressure, we can just talk it out and see what you think. If you’ve got dreams, I sure would love to be the one to help you reach for them. <3 <3 <3
