Oh hi!
I’ve been pretty quiet this summer, sorry about that!  All four of my kiddos are, of course, home for the summe r, and we have been keeping so busy!  We love it that way, though! 😉  I am looking forward to sewing and blogging my way through the fall and winter again!
Today, I want to show you these super fun skirts I’ve been making!  My friend Lauren from Sew By Pattern Pieces is such a sweet and talented designer!  She is offering this adorable skirt pattern free if you swing over and join her facebook group.  How cool is that!?
The Glamour Swirl Skirt is crazy cute, and waaaay fast to sew!  Because I thrive on a quick project that fits into our mad schedule, I went with the basic versions of the GSS.  Mama’s got limited time! 🙂  I pulled some of my favorite tees of Nevey’s that didn’t really have an outfit vibe to them yet, and grabbed fabrics to coordinate.  She has seriously lived in these skirts the last month and as requested more for school.  Happy girl = happy mama.
First up is probably my favorite one.  Just because I’m obsessed with tie dye right now, and I’m obsessed with over-the-top sassy girls.  Well, in pictures, anyway. 😉

I used this perfect fabric from So Sew English fabrics, and I’m preeeetty excited that I have extra.  Mama’s gonna need something from it.  So pretty!

This stinkin’ cute top is something I bought from a shop in Instagram.  I wish I could remember the name of it!  If I can figure it out, I promise to update my post with it so all your girls can have one, too! 😉

We desperately needed something to match her favorite t-shirt, and the Glamour Swirl Skirt was perfection.  That twirl factor is bananas.  And in that tie dye (from So Sew English, of course.)?  Swooooooning.  <3

I love little girls twirling.  Just being free and embracing life.  My favorite. <3

Our little beauty.

I like the length of these skirts, too.  Short enough to be playful, but still long enough to p-l-a-y.  Perfect!

I’m going to geek out for a second… I’ve talked about the skirt.  I’ve talked about the fabric.  Can I talk about the shoes??  Ahhh!  These Livie & Luca Petals are my faaaavorite!  And the rich turquoise matches her skirt to a T.  Ob.sessed.

Have I mentioned how much I adore this little ray of sunshine?  I could sew for her all day long. Well… I kinda do… lol. 😉

Obvi this shirt needed a stunning skirt to help it really shine.  Glamour Swirl Skirt to the rescue!  Neve can look fancy and put together, but be shockingly comfy at the same time.  Love love love. <3  This fabric was a super discounted one from Girl Charlee.

**I’m attempting to not photo-overload you, so I collaged that one.  You’re welcome. 😉
Sharing the next two as collages too, because…less space.  Isn’t she cute, though??  And I whipped up all 5 of these skirts in like 2 hours.  From printing the pattern to hemming.  Soooo fast and so easy!  You’ll love it!

Gotta brag on these shoes, too.  I’m obsessed with my Birkenstocks, and these are like a mini version, but s-p-a-r-k-l-yyyyy.  Swoon! <3  You can find them at Joyfolie.
